Kids SPOT Speech-Language Pathologists are ready to help your child discover their voice and improve their ability to communicate. Whether you child is nonverbal, apraxic, on the Autism Spectrum, or just generally delayed in their speech milestones, our therapists are ready to help your child achieve their full potential.
We also perform comprehensive feeding/swallowing assessments.
Our Kids SPOT Occupational Therapists are excited to help your child create something extraordinary by working on their fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, sensory integration, or visual motor integration. We are here to encourage and teach your child to gain critical life skills from grasping a rattle and holding a bottle, to handwriting and tracing, to handling money and making a budget.
If your child has a need, we are here to help them learn to create!

What to expect on your visit
Speech, Occupational, or Physical Therapy evaluations typically take about one hour to complete. Evaluations will consist of a parent interview, clinical observation, and standardized testing.
Depending on your child’s needs, therapists may sometimes require additional time to complete their assessment. We understand that your time is valuable, and that you want what is best for your child. Your therapist will let you know if they require additional time and our office staff will work with you to schedule a time that works for you and your child.
Once the evaluation is completed, our therapists take care to score the tests your child completed and write up a comprehensive report for you and your child's PCP. This may take up to 7-10 days. Our therapist or office staff member will contact you to let you know the results of your child's therapy evaluation. A copy will be faxed to your child's PCP and if therapy is recommended by our therapists, we will request a treatment script from your child's PCP and contact you to schedule their first therapy session. Your child's first therapy treatment session will begin with a Parent Conference. Please see Parent Conference information below.
Parent Conferences are typically conducted on the first treatment session following an evaluation. During a Parent Conference, the parent will be asked to attend the first 15-20 minutes of their child's session. The therapist will take that time to discuss the results of the evaluation, discuss treatment plan and goals, and answer any questions you may have regarding therapy. Our Patient Care Coordinator will also meet with you regarding our clinic policies (Sick Policy, Attendance Policy, Covid Policy) and answer any questions you may have about your child's schedule.

Kids SPOT therapy treatment sessions are 45 minutes in duration. This includes direct patient/ therapist interaction, parent education, and documentation of the session. At the end of the session, the patient’s parent/caregiver will be provided with feedback about their child’s performance/progress and may be offered activities to practice until the next visit. Therapy is not all inclusive. It requires parent carry-over in the home and is a team effort. Our therapists are here to help your child, and that includes helping you learn therapeutic activities to complete with your child in the home. Our goal is meet your child's needs and help them to become more independent with their skills. This requires practice!
Therapy treatment sessions are typically scheduled weekly on a recurring basis 1x, 2x, 3x, or 4x per week, based on your child's need. It is important that you are on time for your child's therapy session for drop off AND pick up. Our therapists serve many patients and are unable to take time away from your child's session or another child's session to wait for you to arrive. Please contact us as soon as possible if you are running late or must miss an appointment.
Please note that Kids SPOT discourages siblings in the treatment area for the safety of our patients.
